• Architected a Java / Spring Boot application with RESTful services, business logic, persistence, and database integration using PostgreSQL.
• Designed an image-based update workflow allowing users to submit photographs of an existing handwritten calendar and convert handwritten additions and modifications into structured calendar data.
• Integrated AI-powered image interpretation with engineered prompts and application-level business rules to distinguish between calendar-level markings and individual event modifications, including correctly ignoring diagonal cancellation marks across calendar days while recognizing cancellation marks directed at individual events.
• Designed validation and transformation logic to convert AI-generated interpretations into structured application data while reducing the risk of unintended calendar changes.
• Containerized the application using Docker, creating a reproducible application environment and simplifying deployment and local development.
• Implemented GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows to automatically build and validate the Java/Maven application on code changes.
